With the holiday season upon us and so much to do, why not make your list a little bit shorter?

The Panther Band has kicked off its’ Annual Tamale Fundraiser this week and will continue until December 4th.

The Panther Band and Delicious Tamales from San Antonio have gotten together again to offer great tasting tamales at great prices. Traditional pork, spicy (jalapeno/pork) and bean are $8.00 a dozen while chicken and jalapeno cheese tamales are $9.00 a dozen.

Money is to be collected at the time of ordering and date of delivery is December 18th.

The goal of this fundraiser is for band students to help raise enough funds so that they can compete in end of year concert festivals in May. Most of these festivals are by invitation only or have deadline registration dates in order to compete.

In past years, the Panther Band has always done very well in these competitions, coming home with many trophies and great reviews/comments from the judges.

But it is not all work and no play. After competition is over, band students also get some fun time because it is a festival and depending on the location, there are water parks and other activities for the kids.

So help support the band. Buy! Buy! Buy! Buy tamales from a band student!
