Bobby Wood joyously stepped across the threshold of Heaven and entered his eternal home November 19, 2008. His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was waiting and welcomed him with open arms and a loving smile.
Bobby, 52 years old, was born November 3, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada and gave the Lord complete control of his life when he was eight years old.
After a whirlwind courtship of eight weeks, Bobby married Sharon, the love of his life. They fell in love at first sight and have been inseparable ever since.
A self-employed heavy equipment mechanic and part time employee of Blanco Auto Parts, Bobby was loved by all who knew him. He had a ready smile and an easy going nature, along with a vast knowledge of tractors and their parts.
The Lord blessed and guided Bobby all his life. By the grace of God, he survived Hodgkin’s disease, a form of cancer, in 1980.
The celebration of Bobby’s new life was Monday, November 24, 2008 at 10:00am at First Baptist Church, with graveside services following at Blanco Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday, November 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 at Crofts Funeral Home in Blanco.
