Psalm 91 - “1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”

What do you think dwelling in the shelter of the Most High means? I think it’s being in a constant prayer mode. Thinking about God, and not our problems! Walking in His shadow of protection.

Can you trust man? No, we can’t. Psalm 118:8 – “It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in human beings.”

Even though the problem is staring us in the face and causing havoc in our family, we can bind it in the name of Jesus and cast it out of our lives. Believe in the Word, lean on it and meditate on it; not the problem. Easier said than done? It’s all about trust.

Psalm 91:2 – “2 They say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

I love this next verse, because it says God will keep us from getting sick! Psalm 91:3 – “3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.”

So what do we do if our bodies begin hurting or feeling like we’re “trying to catch a cold”? Bind it and cast it out, in Jesus’ name, and say “I’m not receiving sickness because I trust in God, and His Word says He will save me from deadly pestilence!”

Psalm 91:4-7 – “4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. 5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.”

I can vouch that this next verse is true, too, since I was reborn. Psalm 91: 9-12 - “9 If you say, "The LORD is my refuge," and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”

It is written in Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].”

James 4:2- “…You do not have, because you do not ask.” (in part)

Jesus said “I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son.” John 14:13 AMP

When we boldly go to the throne and ask, Jesus says He will give it to us, and maybe that’s how we tread on the lion and cobras! God fights our battles for us!

Psalm 91:13-14 -“13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. 14 "Because they love me," says the LORD, "I will rescue them; I will protect them, for they acknowledge my name.”

When we praise God with love, and in thanksgiving, that’s acknowledging His name! God answer prayers.

Psalm 91:15-16 – “15 They will call on me, and I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble, I will deliver them and honor them. 16 With long life I will satisfy them and show them my salvation."

“2 LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” Psalm 30:2

Thank You Lord, for your Word is true, and Your mercy endures forever!
