This year’s annual Christmas toy program will be held in the Fellowship Hall of Blanco United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 13. It is on a first come/first served basis, and will be open for selection of toys from 1:00 to 5:00pm.

We will be out collecting monetary donations from our Blanco businesses and residents on November 28 and December 4 and 5. The generosity of the people in this town has always been extraordinary; I hope this year will be no exception. We have so many children in this community who would not have gifts from Santa on Christmas morning if it wasn’t for you.

As always, we will need many volunteers to help with the gift selection and wrapping on Saturday, December 13. Your help will be greatly appreciated from an hour or two, to all day. We always have a good time and it is a very rewarding experience.

Following tradition, Security State Bank is having their annual Chamber Mixer on Thursday, December 11 from 5:30 to 7:00pm. Please bring an unwrapped toy for a child ages infant to twelve years old to put under the Christmas tree. These will be taken to Blanco United Methodist Church for the Saturday program. However, we will still need your monetary donations to buy enough gifts for the 170 plus children that need our help.
