The Board and members of Lights Spectacular Hill Country Style have a very special event planned to honor our county for its 150th year. This year’s festivities not only include the traditional lighting of the courthouse, but will also include fireworks. Whether you witnessed the Friday night lighting of the Courthouse over the past eighteen years or if this is your first time to attend; this year will be one you will not want to miss. Join us at the Courthouse Square on Friday, November 28 at 6:30 P.M., we promise you will not be disappointed. Let us help light up your heart this holiday season, as we light up the square and the Hill Country.

Rumor has it that a very special guest from the north has plans to stop by in Johnson City. With the bright lights in the sky and a little magic, he will be able to find all the little ones and hear their many wishes. Santa’s elves have been busy once again decorating the City Park on Highway 290 so that it will come alive with holiday splendor. The City Park is a necessary stop and a great photo opportunity. The food court will fill the cool night air with the aroma of many tasty things to eat.

All food booths are hosted by our local non-profit organizations; just another way to help them raise funds for their cause. Also, do not forget to visit the Courthouse to see the many handmade items for sale by the Johnson City Garden Club, a great place to pick up your gifts for that special person on the list. On Saturday night, November 29, the Clickety Cloggers will once again take stage in front of the square to entertain us prior to the annual lighted Hoof and Wheels Parade, which will kick off at 6:30 P.M. We hope you will make plans to join us on the square over Thanksgiving weekend. We are sure you will be smiling after this year’s spectacular display of lights.
